INGREDIENTS

Garnish

  • 315 ml of dates, pitted and chopped
  • 125 ml  of water
  • 15 ml  of lemon juice
  • 15 ml  of sugar

Crisp

  • 215 ml of oatmeal
  • 125 ml  of flour
  • 90 ml  of sugar
  • 90 ml  of butter

PREPARATION

  • Place the grill at the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (350 ° F). Line a 20 cm square baking dish with a strip of parchment paper, letting it protrude on two sides. Butter the other two sides.

Garnish

  • In a saucepan, bring the dates, water, lemon juice and sugar to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until the dates are pureed. Let cool.

Crisp

  • In a bowl, combine the oatmeal, the flour, the sugar. Add the butter and mix well.Spread half of the crisp in the baking dish and press firmly. Spread the mixture of dates. Cover with the rest of the crispy and squeeze lightly.
  • Bake for about 55 minutes or until crisp is golden brown. Cool on a rack about 4 hours or overnight. Unmould and cut into 5 to 10 squares.

PREPARATION

  • Take the butter half an hour early to soften it. Pit the dates and cut them into small pieces. Place them in a bowl and pour in 12,5 cl of hot water. Chop the nuts, beat the eggs. Pour the flour into a bowl, spread the softened butter, then the rest of the ingredients. Prepare a cake tin (buttered and floured) and pour the preparation. Bake at 190 ° C for 60 minutes.
